Youth fellowship

Connect , the youth fellowhip I help to run went well. I think our young people enjoyed the ‘ham’ night lol. Two friends have agreed to come and show the Ken Ham videos once a month. This has taken so much pressure off us. Three of out leaders left last year , 2 without telling us and that left me and one other girl. Two of our young people did a short youth worker course and have joined us , their great. Unfortunately the other leader will be leaving I think she intends to go and work in Saudi which is sad . I really feel after a shaky start we are working well together. So that leaves me ( mum, child minder and p/t counselling student with 2 young people both at uni to run it- can you imagine the stress between us at exam time . So the fact that we know one night a month is covered is fab.

Ken Ham is president and founder of Answers in Genesis–USA and author of many books on Genesis Here is his site and these are the video’s we are using. We started off with -Dinosaurs—in the Bible? and it was interesting for the young people and us as well- lots I didnt know . I could really recommend them.

He refers too as biblical evidence that dinosaurs and man shared Gods earth together before animals or man ate flesh, before the great flood if your interested you can find out more about it on this site Here

Job 40:15-24 (NIV)

15 “Look at the behemoth,

which I made along with you

and which feeds on grass like an ox.

16 What strength he has in his loins,
what power in the muscles of his belly!

17 His tail sways like a cedar;
the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.

18 His bones are tubes of bronze,
his limbs like rods of iron.

19 He ranks first among the works of God,
yet his Maker can approach him with his sword.

20 The hills bring him their produce,
and all the wild animals play nearby.

21 Under the lotus plants he lies,
hidden among the reeds in the marsh.

22 The lotuses conceal him in their shadow;
the poplars by the stream surround him.

23 When the river rages, he is not alarmed;
he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth.

24 Can anyone capture him by the eyes,

or trap him and pierce his nose?

There was plenty of time to chat about any issues raised before supper and games- Supper we had cheese and crackers and loads of HAM of course lol
